No Light

I am regularly assaulted by individuals who are teaching some new idea, which is not supported by careful Bible study. I have been pondering a radical decision for some time now. I will describe an example of this spiritual assault.

I have many people writing to me and trying to convince me there is truth in the new teaching of the Lunar Sabbath. They even practice deception to get me on the phone to try to convince me of this new, important truth. There seems to be some kind of special deception technique of Satan, which depends on the spoken voice rather than the written word. It does not work on the elect who are grounded in God's Word.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Matthew 24:24

I have considered what they have to say to avoid arrogance that I know all the truth. I have heard the arguments and I have studied the Word. The evidence of the Word says this is a heresy. God does not lie. His Word does not lie.

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Numbers 23:19

God does not confuse us but promises His spirit to guide us.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13

The first chapter of Genesis tells us creation was six days.

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Genesis 2:2-3

God does not explicitly state it is a continuous cycle of seven days per week but it is clearly implied. In the heart of the Ten Commandments it is repeated.

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Exodus 20:11

It is an incredibly foolish lie to claim the week is seven days some times and a different number of days at other times.

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
II Thessalonians 2:10-12

I am as certain of the seven-day week as I am of the seventh day of holy rest. I would never even consider someone trying to teach Sunday is God's day of rest. Therefore, I will no longer even consider the foolish idea the week is not seven days. I have pondered this verse.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Isaiah 8:20

I will no longer even listen to someone who has "No Light". Why would a believer in "New Light" listen to someone who has "No Light"? Satan can mix truth with error but I do not have to listen. I will not listen! I have often observed that once I identify one serious error in a ministry or person's teaching I will inevitably find more.

9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
Galatians 5:9

I find serious counsel in these words of Paul.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
I Corinthians 5:11

Extrapolating from this I restate Paul's words. If one claims to be a brother and is a deliberate lawbreaker, do not even eat with them. He says again:

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
II Thessalonians 3:6

and again:

And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
II Thessalonians 3:14

I know these are harsh words. I have prayed, read the Word, and sought the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I am under conviction that I am wasting my time and polluting my soul having conversation with these people.

Now please understand, I am talking about someone who deliberately teaches error and demonstrates an unwillingness to consider truth. Those who are struggling with truth and seeking understanding will receive the tenderest consideration. Many have pretended to be open to truth and have offered flatteries about my teachings but quickly show themselves to be wolves.

I will remove teachers of error from my contact list and block their emails as spam.

It gets worse... Anyone who teaches the Law of Moses is nailed to the cross has no light in them. I will not trust anything they say. This gets difficult when it includes the pastor of the church I attend.

You may ask, "Doesn't the church teach the Law of Moses is nailed to the Cross?" It does and it doesn't. The Fundamental Beliefs do not say this. Yes, there are books and teaching which do say it but the Fundamental Beliefs do not. There are many teachers who do not repeat the heresy. Asscherick, Bohr, Cox, and others have never to my knowledge repeated the lie. Many others have. According to the Bible, those who speak against His Law have no light in them.

I am sorry to say, I will have to include those who speak against a Godhead of three persons as among those who I will henceforth ignore. While I have great respect for concern about the use of the Catholic word "Trinity", I cannot agree with those who reject the divine person of the Holy Spirit. The Bible declares the distinct manifestation of the Spirit, our Saviour spoke of Him often, and so did the apostles. Despite the misrepresentation of confusion about the beliefs of the Adventist pioneers, they also believed in the Godhead of three persons. The most powerful witness is EGW herself in "Testimonies for the Church Containing Messages of Warning and Instruction to Seventh-day Adventists" Chapter 14 - Come Out and be Separate, written from the Sanitarium, California, November, 1905. {SpTB07 63.2}.

I know very well how easy it is to be confused by partial or vague explanations about various concepts. Careful research and time is required to sift through competing ideas. Guidance by the Holy Spirit is essential. Sometimes it requires conflict to focus our attention and study. The time must come when the truth alone is upheld and clear cases of error and teachers of error are ignored.

Do you listen to foolish lies or carefully study and research what you are told to verify if it is true?
